I hadn’t heard of Chris Milk until today, when I followed a link (via Daring Fireball) to a great 42 second short film he had made. I quickly moved on to music videos he had made for Modest Mouse & Gnarls Barkly (also excellent), and this one above, for Audioslave (a song I hadn’t heard before today either, but which I now pretty much love).

I met my boss for the first time today…despite the fact that I’ve been working for him for the last 9 months. It will likely be the last time I see him for the next 12 months, too.
It’s funny that that situation doesn’t feel nearly as strange to me as it sounds, though it does remind me that I have a pretty enviable work situation (well for the most part anyway). ...

I have a massive work project due in 18 days. The culmination of 6 months work and over 3 years of pre-planning and petitioning. A project that should deliver significant benefits for my employer and which potentially has huge implications for my career also (albeit in a fairly narrow sphere). There’s probably 300 hours yet to go on the project - a fairly ludicrous 16.6 hours per day...
