Farewell, Facebook: when we first met, you seemed a kinda fun, friendly, interactive community.  Now, you’re a tedious, massively-creepy, user-hostile data-farm peddling faux friendship and the veneer of community while siphoning precious time and attention away from things that actually…y’know…matter to me.


(How’d it take me 4 years to realise?)

Those who would give up essential privacy and agency to obtain a little ‘frictionless sharing’, deserve neither liberty nor safety. And ubiquitous, covert and persistent web-wide tracking. And “friends”, with whom to “share”, “socially”.
